That’s because Apple doesn’t support installing High Sierra or other macOS versions without Apple computer which is Mac. So, if you still want to do so, you’ll surely need the High Sierra (or any other version you want to install) installer file Virtual Image (VMDK) file specifically for VMware or VirtualBox. I had posted a note earlier with little feedback so I thought I would post HOW TO INSTALL High Sierra on VMware Workstation 12.5.7 It is much easier than the complicated scripts that I have seen. Assuming that you have a functioning macOS system: 1) On your existing macOS, go to the App Store and download the High Sierra installer. Some people have reported that a stub installer is only downloaded although this has not happened to me. If it happens to you, follow the instructions on this page: 2) The easy way to create a bootable USB is to use Install Disk Creator. It has been updated for High Sierra: OR, Using a Terminal window, you could use the command: sudo /Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume Note: Replace 'MyVolume' with the name of the macOS volume of your USB key 3) Create a new Virtual Machine in VMware Workstation. Select 'Apple Mac OS X' as the Guest O/S and 'macOS 10.12' as the version. Select the default for all other options (although I prefer to have the virtual disk as one single file) 4) Edit the newly created VMX file and append the two following lines: smc.version = 0. Now it's working, then when finish install, now not start block on the bios blue screen. Xilisoft youtube hd video converter for mac. How can i install vmware tools? I have.exe for vmware workstation 14 (contains vmware tools), but. Thanks for your help, If you are stopping on the EFI boot screen which shows that the boot path is 'Unsuccessful', then you did not disable the virtual SSD properly. Look at your VMX file and check the type of disk used. The sample I showed above is the default where the VMware virtual disk is a SATA drive and mounted as the first drive. Therefore the line below properly disables the virtual SSD emulation in the virtual machine. Sata0:0.virtualSSD = '0' If you still have problems, please ATTACH (DO NOT POST) the VMX file for your virtual machine. Good afternoon. I've been suffering for three days. Quickbooks mac and pc compatibility. High Mac OS version 10.13.6 (17G65) Sierra. Hello people, I am very new to the hackintosh scene. I have built an unraid server and am running windows 10 and OSX High Sierra as VM’s on it. My motherboard is gigabyte ga-7pesh2 which has two rear usb 2.0 slots and internal usb 2.0 header. I have installed NZXT internal USB hub to it for installing the Broadcom BCM94360CD card and other accessories to it. My windows side works perfectly fine. I was able to use Bluetooth, WiFi and the USB ports from the NZXT hub. I am able to use Logitech keyboard and mouse with unifying receiver as well as Magic Keyboard and Mouse. I am also able to play audio using Bluetooth. The problem arises when I boot into OSX High Sierra, i am able to turn on and off both the WiFi and the Bluetooth but my Bluetooth won’t connect to my apple Magic Mouse or magic keyboard. I also tried using Logitech Mouse and Keyboard using the usb hub but the Mouse lags very badly, its unusable and the keyboard is not working at all. However the WiFi works perfectly. I have read about installing USB Kexts and all but I am so new to the scene I am not sure how to move forward with it. If anyone can please help me that would be great. Thank you so much. It starts copying the installation files to the HDD with a message poiting 5 minutes left. Hold for authentication mac print.
